Public Meeting will Discuss Greenlaw Town Hall's Future

The 'Berwickshire News' Article of 21 May 2008 by Simon Duke advises:

The fate of one of Berwickshire's most famous buildings has been a hot topic for a number of years now, and interest was re-ignited when the Town Hall appeared on BBC2's "Restoration Village" in the Summer of 2006.

The Town Hall Trustees and Project Committee are holding a meeting Tuesday 27th May at 7.30pm in the Blackadder Social Club, Greenlaw to outline the current situation and ask for local support and ideas on how to take the project forward.

The building will be restored to provide much needed office facilities for local businesses as well as a community focused future for the hall. It is hoped that the restoration will provide local jobs, attract new local business and provide a community meeting place.
