The ultimate aim for Friends of Greenlaw, a local Amenity Society which is proposing the Community / Commercial option, is to have the Greenlaw Town Hall fully restored. This is now possible thanks to the high level of interest being generated through its appearance in the BBC Restoration series. By transforming the building, this will also transform the village.

People have always been fascinated by the building. Partly from the fact that such a grand class A-listed building seems so out-of-place in such a small community, (which shows what can be achieved if you put your mind and energies into it), but also that it is steeped in history and social significance for the people of Greenlaw and the wider community.

How would the people of Greenlaw feel if the building were to be restored?

It would rank as being one of the most satisfying and life-enhancing changes in their lives. To bring this amount of benefit to an entire community can only make you feel good inside.

Leaving a Legacy. There are several reasons you might like to leave a legacy to Greenlaw Town Hall Sustainability Fund:
